Strangers to Family - Becoming a Community
To say that this experience has been stimulating would be an understatement. The new sights, sounds, energy, friendships and growth opportunities have been flooding in from every direction. I knew that this would be a change of pace for me, but I now see it will be so much more. To be a part of the first GlobeKick community is truly special. I'm surrounded by eclectic and dynamic personalities, all who chose to say yes and jump in head first to this journey into the unknown.
It's been a little over 10 days since I learned everyone's names yet we're already becoming a family. The focus for this week is community, which is a big reason why we're all here. We could have traveled the word on our own, rented places with wi-fi and worked as solo Digital Nomads, but we didn't.
We are here to help each other grow, to be a witness to the change and transformation, to hold each other accountable. Whether it's a business idea we want to see through, a personal growth goal or even just stating that we want to try every national food available - once we speak it out into the community, it's real. We're being challenged to ask ourselves and others to be authentic and open which can be scary and vulnerable, however, this is a safe place, a judgment-free zone.
The shine and energy I've received from this community is just what I was looking for, it's honestly what I didn't realize I was looking for. My mind is racing in so many different directions on what the next steps could be for me, but I know that I'm in the right place, with the right people and that if I continue to follow my shine, my future will be bright (pun intended).
